They verify their phone with a WhatsApp OTP, fund their own wallet with at least ₦500 in total, then spend ₦300 of their own funds on successful airtime or data purchases.

Once eligibility and fraud checks pass, your friend gets one welcome reward. Your separate ₦100 referral reward becomes available after its 12-hour fraud hold.
₦300 is cumulative. A friend can make three successful ₦100 airtime/data purchases. Only spending from their own funded wallet counts toward qualification.

Flagged cases need a decision
A signup flagged for possible legitimate overlap has rewards withheld for staff review. If approved, rewards can be issued and the referrer hold starts. Confirmed fraud is blocked or reversed.

Redeem rewards into the restricted promotional portion of your wallet. Referrers can redeem without making a purchase and use credit for airtime or data. Welcome credit applies to a later airtime/data purchase of at least ₦300. Credit cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and expires 14 days after it becomes available.

Does my friend need to spend ₦300 in one purchase?
No. Successful airtime and data purchases count together. Three ₦100 purchases from their own wallet count as ₦300, provided they have funded at least ₦500 in total.
Do I need to buy anything to earn my referral reward?
No. The qualifying funding and spending requirements apply to your friend, not to you. You can earn for every referred friend who qualifies, subject to fraud checks and the pilot budget.
What happens during the 12-hour review?
For clear cases, your reward is held for 12 hours after your friend qualifies and then released automatically. A flagged signup is reviewed by staff before rewards are issued; if approved, the referrer hold begins. A later flag can also keep a pending reward on hold until staff decides. Confirmed fraud is blocked or reversed.
How do I use my reward?
Open Dashboard → Referrals and redeem each ₦100 reward into the promotional portion of your wallet. That credit pays for eligible airtime or data purchases before cash is used. A welcome reward requires a later purchase of at least ₦300; a referrer reward has no such minimum.
When does the credit expire?
Each reward expires 14 days after it becomes available. Moving it into the promotional wallet does not reset the clock. You can see the expiry date and reward history on your Referrals page.
